Please join us at SET Social in Peckham for a screening of Bill Douglas' 1986 film Comrades, an epic cinematic history of the the Tolpuddle Martyrs. The Martyrs were a group of agricultural workers from Dorset who's efforts to form in 1834 a 'friendly society' - widely recognised as an early form of trade union - earned them deportation arrest and deportation to Australia. 

Moving, wild, righteous and psychedelic, Comrades' ensemble cast includes Robin Soans, Phil Davis, Keith Allen, Vanessa Redgrave and James Fox, with a great score to boot. 

This film is rarely screened, so this is a great opportunity to witness a fantastic piece of cinema celebrating an even prouder history in the merry month of May. It is also long - three hours - so make sure to have a big lunch. SET Social has a stocked bar and comfy seats for you.

Screening begins at 3pm so come a little early to be ready.

Tickets £10 in adv. We'll save a few back for the door too.
