Bid farewell to winter and welcome in spring as we gather once again at the Avalon Cafe for the first Circle Dance of the year.

Pastoral psychedelic music and films to expand yer mind and move yer arse.

Proceeds going to the Right to Roam Campaign (more info below).

LINEUP:

Muckers – Circle Dancer-in-chief and principle maypole-botherer Muckers brings a 303, a plastic flute, a trombone and a load of tunes for a wonky rave-up in the round. Cheers'en!

Alice Boyd – Presenting music from her debut EP, created while artist-in-residence at the Eden Project, Alice explores our evolutionary journey and interconnectedness with plant and animal life through a rich arrangement of voices, electronics and analogue textures. Tip!

Eve and other films by Joya Berrow and Lucy Jane – Eve follows a 9-year-old girl living in one of the oldest off-grid communities in the UK as she returns to school and becomes involved in climate activism. Also presented are two complimentary short films about land rights and living with nature, Away With The Land and Every True Person.

And Circle Dance DJs to take you thru til 2.

Tickets £8 here or a tenner on the door. Ill or unwaged but want to come? Drop us a message and we'll sort you out.

FUNDRAISER:

Proceeds of the party will be going to the Right to Roam Campaign, who are fighting to extend the Countryside & Rights of Way Act, rebalance our access to the landscape and the natural world, question why just 7% of England is publicly accessible, and fight back against everything we share being enclosed and sold back to us. Check out the amazing mass trespass they just held on Dartmoor! More info here: https://www.righttoroam.org.uk/

Fight the privitisation of our lives, reclaim the commons!

You poor take courage,
You rich take care;
This earth was made a common treasury
For everyone to share.
